The Spark is Scott's Full Suspension. Scott has brought a new breakthrough technology to the market in 2021. They have developed a frame with an integrated damper. In addition to the aesthetic enhancement this brings, Scott has also found a way to refine the frame's suspension characteristics without sacrificing weight.
An internal damper prevents the damper from making inefficient directional movements. In other words: lateral movements (sideways in the direction of travel, when the damper compresses) are a thing of the past. The internal damper design also allows more room to add larger bearings to the seat tube pivot. This strengthens the area around the seat tube and reduces unnecessary movements. As a result, the bike benefits from better handling and a more stable ride for the end user.
Another nice feature of the Spark is its Twinloc suspension lockout. With this lockout you can drive completely stiff, 60% suspension and completely 100% open. The stiff setting is ideal for the flatter sections and climbs, the 60% is ideal for the descents and the 100% is perfect for the steeper rocky descents where more damping is required. This gives you a lot more confidence on all terrains, allowing you to set your PRs even faster.

Syncros has been Scott's house brand since 2012, Syncros was originally an independent brand, specialized in parts and founded by two friends from British Columbia. Now, more than thirty years later, the brand seems to have become an indispensable part of the Swiss bicycle manufacturer's arsenal. Syncros not only makes saddles, but also stems, handlebars, headsets and wheelsets. The top MTB wheelset is the Syncros Silverton SL Carbon: this wheelset consists of 1 piece of Carbon and weighs only 1290 grams. The Silverton SL has a unique manufacturing process, where the spokes are bonded directly to the rim and pulled into the rim from the other side of the hub. The result is an even stiffer and higher spoke tension than previously thought possible. Don't be alarmed, because this wheelset costs €3,500 new, but you do get a unique piece of technology in return.
