We work exclusively with high-quality components from brands like SRAM and Shimano. Both brands offer top-tier electronic 12-speed groupsets, but there are some minor differences.

SRAM AXS is completely wireless. The shifters communicate with the derailleurs via Bluetooth, eliminating the need for cables. This results in a clean aesthetic and simple installation. AXS technology is available in SRAM Force and SRAM Red, with Red being the absolute top model and Force offering excellent value for money.

Shimano Di2 uses electronic shifting via internal cables. This system is known for its very fast and reliable shifts. Shimano offers this technology in Ultegra and Dura-Ace, with Dura-Ace being the flagship and Ultegra a popular choice due to its strong balance between performance and price.

Ultimately, the best groupset depends on your preference, riding style, and budget. During the configuration of your custom build, we will gladly advise you to ensure the groupset perfectly matches the bike you envision.

Option 3:

Wheels

When assembling your custom bike, we also consider the appropriate wheelset, as this greatly influences the bike's handling. Roughly, a distinction is made between climbing wheels and aero wheels, each with its own characteristics.

Climbing Wheels:

Climbing wheels are lightweight and usually have a shallower rim depth (often below 38 mm). This makes them ideal for climbs, as the lower weight aids in efficient climbing. Additionally, they are often more agile and stable in crosswinds, which is pleasant during technical descents and mountainous routes.

Aero Wheels:

Aero wheels have a deeper rim (often 50 mm or more) and are designed to reduce air resistance. This supports higher speeds on flat roads and during fast rides. They are generally slightly heavier than climbing wheels and can be more susceptible to crosswinds but offer excellent speed and stability at high tempos.

Option 4:

Cockpit

Saddle

Therefore, when assembling your custom build, we always look for a saddle that suits your body type and riding style.

Tires

Fast tires: These tires are designed for maximum speed and low rolling resistance. They are light and offer a lot of grip in corners, but are generally slightly more susceptible to punctures.

Puncture-resistant tires: These tires contain extra protective layers, making them more resistant to sharp objects on the road. They are often slightly heavier but offer more reliability during long rides.

Winter tires: Winter tires have a stronger construction and a softer rubber compound for extra grip in cold and wet weather. They often also offer extra protection against punctures.

Tubeless tires: In a tubeless setup, you ride without an inner tube. Thanks to a special sealant, small holes can be automatically sealed. This often results in more comfort, lower rolling resistance, and better puncture resistance.

Finish and exclusivity: Bike jewelry is primarily about the finishing touch. These are small components that refine the bike's look and perfectly complement the rest of the build.

Fully personalized: Because these parts are often available in different colors and materials, you can fine-tune the style of your bike down to the smallest details.
