Every second counts. That's why the Colnago TT2 was not developed as an evolution of its predecessor, but as a completely new platform for the modern time trial. Born from the direct feedback of UAE Team Emirates-XRG and UAE Team ADQ, the TT2 is designed for today's increasingly demanding time trials: technical courses, steep climbs, fast descents, and high average speeds.

Developed for WorldTour performance
The TT2 is the result of years of development at the highest level of cycling. Colnago combined the aerodynamic knowledge of the TT1 with the innovative technology of the Y1Rs, creating a completely new frame focused on three key characteristics:
- Maximum aerodynamics
- Extremely low weight
- Perfect geometry for an optimal position
The result is a time trial bike that is not only faster in the wind tunnel but, more importantly, proves faster under real race conditions.
Lighter. Faster. Much more versatile.
Compared to the TT1, the TT2 frame is approximately 550 grams lighter, without compromising aerodynamic performance. On the contrary: the TT2 performs even better in crosswinds, while the redesigned geometry ensures an easier bike fit, more adjustment options, sharper accelerations, and more control in technical corners.
This combination makes the TT2 not only faster on flat courses but also particularly effective on hilly and technical time trials.
Aerodynamics at the highest level
At speeds above 50 km/h, air resistance is by far the biggest factor determining how fast you complete a time trial. That's why every component of the TT2 was developed with one goal: to generate as little air resistance as possible.
During development, Colnago made extensive use of:
- CFD simulations (Computational Fluid Dynamics)
- Wind tunnel testing
- Analysis of airflow around the bike and rider
- Optimization of each frame profile
Special attention was paid to the front of the bike. The head tube, fork, and cockpit have been completely redesigned to optimally guide airflow and further reduce total drag.
Designed for maximum control
A fast time trial bike must not only be aerodynamic but also inspire confidence when speeds exceed 60 km/h.
That's why the TT2 features:
- a fully integrated cockpit
- an extremely narrow head tube of just 32 mm
- a completely new fork construction
- improved stability at high speeds
- predictable handling in corners
- optimal control in strong crosswinds
Despite increased tire clearance and the redesigned construction, Colnago managed to make the frontal area even smaller than that of the TT1.

The TT2 was designed from a blank slate. Not only the frame, but also the cockpit, fork, integrated aerodynamic bottle, and all other components form one perfectly cooperating system.
This integrated approach results in:

Maximum aero

Thanks to a completely redesigned front end, an extremely narrow head tube, an integrated cockpit, and optimized frame profiles, the TT2 cuts through the air more efficiently than its predecessor. For the Colnago TT2, the wheelset is one of the most important factors for maximum speed. Besides an optimal cycling position, the right wheel configuration determines how much air resistance you overcome and how much power is actually converted into speed.
Developed for pure aero performance
The TT2 is designed to perform optimally with extremely aerodynamic carbon wheelsets. Depending on the course, a deep front rim combined with a full carbon rear disc is often chosen. This configuration minimizes air resistance and perfectly matches the aerodynamic character of the TT2, allowing you to utilize every watt as efficiently as possible.
