Description
More information about the Colnago TT1
The Colnago TT1 is Colnago's pure time trial machine, designed for maximum speed against the clock. In a time trial, every second counts, which is why the TT1 has been developed entirely around aerodynamics, integration, and an extremely efficient riding position. The result is a bike built to minimize air resistance and convert your power into speed as efficiently as possible.
Maximum aerodynamics
With the TT1, everything revolves around air resistance. The frame is designed with aerodynamic tube shapes that optimize airflow around the bike. In combination with the integrated cockpit, internal cable routing, and deep frame profiles, it creates an extremely efficient bike for time trials and triathlon.
This focus on aerodynamics ensures that you gain more speed from the same effort, which can make a big difference, especially in longer time trials.
Designed for an optimal time trial position
The geometry of the TT1 has been developed to enable an extremely aerodynamic riding posture. The adjustable cockpit and aerobar configurations make it possible to precisely adjust the position of the handlebars, pads, and extensions.
This allows you to create a position that is both aerodynamic and sustainable, so your power remains efficient throughout an entire time trial.
Ideal platform for a custom build
The TT1 is pre-eminently a bike that lends itself to a fully personalized custom build. With time trial bikes, the correct configuration is crucial for performance.
Fully adjustable cockpit
The cockpit, aerobar extensions, and armrests can be precisely adjusted to your body position and riding style.
Compatible with high-end components
The frame is designed to combine with top components such as electronic groupsets, aerodynamic carbon wheelsets, and high-quality cockpit parts.
Maximum integration
Due to the integrated cable routing and aerodynamic design, the end result remains sleek, fast, and visually impressive.
With a custom build around the Colnago TT1, you get a time trial bike that is fully tailored to your body, power, and racing ambitions – exactly what a true high-performance TT bike is all about.

Maximum aerodynamics
The Colnago TT1 is entirely designed around aerodynamics. The deep frame profiles, integrated cockpit, and internal cable routing minimise air resistance, allowing you to cut through the wind as efficiently as possible. In time trials, where every second counts, this design helps you achieve more speed with the same effort.

Fully adjustable racing position
The TT1 is designed to enable an extremely efficient time trial position. Thanks to the adjustable cockpit, aerobar extensions, and armrests, you can precisely tune the bike to your body position. This creates an aerodynamic posture that is not only fast but also comfortable enough to maintain your power throughout an entire time trial.

Groups
The groupset on the Colnago TT1 is crucial for pure speed, aerodynamic efficiency, and absolute control during time trials and triathlons. This high-performance frame has been developed to allow for maximum integration and precision, making electronic groupsets the standard here.
Designed for top performance
The TT1 is entirely focused on modern electronic shifting systems. This means faster shifting under load, minimal resistance, and a neatly integrated cockpit with no cables to disrupt aerodynamics. In a discipline where every second counts, reliability and immediate response are essential.
You can choose from groupsets by Shimano, SRAM, or Campagnolo. Whether you prefer electronic precision, wireless technology, or the character of Italian shifting – we build your Colnago TT1 exactly to your specifications.

Wheels
The wheel choice on the Colnago TT1 revolves around one thing: maximum speed with minimal air resistance. In time trials and triathlon, the wheelset, besides your position, is the biggest determining factor for aerodynamic performance.
Pure aerodynamics as the starting point
On the TT1, extremely deep carbon wheels or a combination of a deep-section front wheel and a full disc rear wheel are typically used. This configuration minimizes air resistance and maximizes speed on flat and fast courses. Professional setups clearly demonstrate this, for example, with an approximately 100 mm deep front wheel and a closed carbon disc rear wheel for optimal aero efficiency.
Our recommendation? The Princeton BLUR 633 V4 Disc.

Additional upgrades
In addition to the standard configuration, optional upgrades are also possible with a custom build to further refine your bike. These upgrades can lead to better performance, lower weight, or an even more exclusive finish.
Ceramic bearings
A popular upgrade is the use of ceramic bearings in, for example, the bottom bracket, derailleur pulleys, or wheel hubs. Ceramic bearings have less friction than standard steel bearings, which can lead to a smoother running drivetrain and a small gain in efficiency and wattage.
High-end component upgrades
Many riders choose to further upgrade certain components, such as lighter cassettes, carbon bottle cages, titanium bolts, or high-performance derailleur pulleys. This can help reduce overall weight and give the bike an even more exclusive look.
Performance-oriented optimization
Some upgrades are specifically aimed at maximum performance. Examples include aerodynamic cockpit solutions, high-end wheelsets, or special coatings on components that reduce friction.
These upgrades are completely optional and are often chosen by riders who want to optimize their bike down to the smallest detail. When putting together your custom build, we are happy to advise you on which upgrades truly make a difference for your riding style and goals.

Bicycle jewelry
We often refer to the final step in assembling a custom bike as bike jewelry. These are small, high-quality details that give your bike an extra exclusive look and elevate the finish to an even higher level.
Power meter integration
If you want to seriously analyze your performance, you can have your bike equipped with a power meter at The Bike Broker. This is one of the most valuable upgrades for training and performance improvement.
A power meter accurately measures how many watts you are pedaling. This means you no longer train by feel, but by objective data. This allows you to train more specifically, accurately track your progress, and manage your energy more efficiently during long rides or races.
Aesthetic upgrades
This can include titanium bolts, anodized spacers, premium derailleur pulleys, or special top caps. These subtle details give your bike a unique look and make the build completely personal.
Finish and exclusivity
Bike jewelry is mainly about the finishing touch. These are small components that refine the look of your bike and perfectly match the rest of your build.
Fully personalized
Because these parts are often available in different colors and materials, you can fine-tune the style of your bike down to the smallest details.
Bike jewelry is completely optional, but for many riders, this is the final step to making their custom build truly unique.

Custom build reviews
Two weeks ago, I picked up my new S-WORKS Tarmac SL7 from The Bike Broker. I had originally planned to only buy a frame and build it myself with parts from my previous bike. However, because he asked about my plans for the frame (out of genuine interest), he gave excellent advice, which gave me confidence in the seller. Ultimately, The Bike Broker also built my bike. I am very satisfied with how this went. He kept me well-informed throughout the bike's construction, sending photos and asking relevant questions. I've already ridden the SL7 a few times, and it's a real winner.
I had Ferry build my bike. A very pleasant and enjoyable experience, resulting in my dream bike. Ferry takes ample time to discuss the options and is easily reachable for questions. The bike is superbly built, clearly demonstrating his knowledge and experience. Excellent, highly recommended!
Can highly recommend Ferry. Had an initial conversation with him on a potential build and when I decided to pull the trigger he accomodated all my wishes and found me a frame and fully built bike within a month. Ended up with a customized build with mixed parts and he even took care of reselling some of the surplus stuff for me. Top bloke and great service, and always happy to chat about bikes when you drop by!
Ferry from the bike broker made the impossible possible. I was able to customize my dream bike exactly as I wanted, thanks to Ferry's connections and knowledge!
Friendly and honest service, a hard-working top guy!
