The Colnago V5Rs is the lightest model the brand has ever developed. The frame weighs only 685 grams in the basic version, making it over 12% lighter than its predecessor. This weight saving does not compromise stiffness or durability, allowing riders to benefit from maximum performance with minimal mass.
Refined and aerodynamic shapes
Thanks to experience gained with previous models, the design of the V5Rs has been further honed. The frame uses sleek, highly efficient tube profiles that show excellent results in the wind tunnel. As a result, its aerodynamics approach those of the best aero models, but with a much lower weight.
Compact frontal area
With a frontal area of just 250 cm², the V5Rs is 13% narrower than its predecessor. The redesigned, narrower head tube contributes to less air resistance and more efficient energy use, ensuring every watt counts.
Direct stiffness and responsiveness
The V5Rs combines low weight with aerodynamic qualities, without compromising stiffness. This makes the bike extremely responsive and thus suitable for the highest levels of competition, such as those of the UAE WorldTour teams.
New fork and wider tire clearance
The redesigned fork is not only lighter but also more precise in steering. Thanks to tire clearance up to 32 mm, there is room for wider tires, allowing for extra grip, more control, and higher speed on challenging road surfaces.
High-quality carbon construction
Through the use of advanced lamination techniques, the placement of carbon fibers has been optimized in detail. This results in a frame that is not only ultra-light but also strong, durable, and resistant to the toughest conditions.
