The Princeton Carbonworks Wake 6560 Evolution is the result of years of innovation. Since the first concepts in 2012 and the introduction of the first models in 2015, this wheel has gone through multiple generations – each time with improvements in aerodynamics, weight, stiffness, and ride comfort. With its fifth generation, the Wake 6560 Evolution sets a new standard in performance and design.
Optimized for maximum speed
What makes the Wake 6560 Evolution unique is its combination of speed, maneuverability, and stiffness. Thanks to the updated Evolution profile, this wheel is more aerodynamically efficient than ever, even in challenging wind conditions. Where deeper rims often lose stability, this model maintains precise and reliable steering, while being lighter and more responsive than shallower alternatives.
Innovative spoke technology
The Evolution version introduces a revolutionary rim shape with alternately deep and
shallow rim sections, combined with the patented Radially Staggered Lacing. This optimally distributes forces on the spokes, resulting in a stiffer and more durable wheelset. This technique is exclusive to Princeton CarbonWorks and underscores its progressive approach to wheel construction.
Wider, lighter, and more efficient
The new Wake 6560 Evolution is slightly wider and lighter than its predecessor. With an internal width of 21 mm and a maximum external width of 28.2 mm, the wheelset is perfectly tuned for modern 25-28 mm tires. This ensures better aerodynamics in all conditions and more stability in crosswinds. Additionally, the rim weight has been reduced by 10 grams per rim, contributing to a livelier ride feel.
Versatility without compromise
Whether you choose tubeless or traditional clincher tires, the Wake 6560 Evolution is fully prepared. Thanks to the hooked retention system and the holeless tubeless-ready design, mounting is easy and secure, without the need for rim tape. Moreover, the rim remains available for both disc and rim brakes, allowing every rider to choose their ideal configuration.
